Nasir Mahmood, President Elect PSSNY
As most of you know by recent e-mails that we have undertaken a media campaign to fight the unjust cuts by PBMs, HMO's and Medicaid and Medicare. This is a crucial time in the history of Pharmacy. It will take all resources, physical and financial to sustain our survival. I am pleading once again to the members and affiliates to chip in with their maximum participation in the events and contributions to PSSNY with a note to refer media campaign and RX Pac as they go hand in hand to be successful. There is a press conferrence in front of Governor's office at 633 3rd Ave, NYC scheduled at 11am and on Thursday June 5th and at the capitol on Wednesday June 11th at 11 am. Please give it your utmost consideration as this unfairness has to stop, enough is enough. PSSNY board has approved the plan and we have already collected 50% i.e. $250k in NYC and have half way more to go. So please open your hearts and be prepared to fight. Thanks for your support.

Nasir Mahmood President Elect Pharmacists Society of State of New York
Dear Colleagues
As most of you know that NY Legislature has finalized the haelth budget and totally ignored the pharmacists value by reducing the reimbursement for brands to AWP-16.25% for Medicaid, Epic, Health Plus and Child Health Plus. DOH has convinced them that it is reasonable reimbursement beacuse California has the same rate but intentionally did not tell them the real story that California pays $7.15 as dispensing fee. We need you to call every legislator in and around your area to restore these cuts in a supplemental budget and increase the dispensing fee to California level as it is matter of our SURVIVAL, whether staff or owner pharmacists. Also make an attemp to see them in their district offices and show your displeasure on their disfunctional perfgormance and total ignorance of our professional and valuable services to our communities. Please spend a few minutes of your time for this important issue. You can get Legislator info at pssny.org by going to legislature link.We at PSSNY are doing our best in this direction, your participation will make it a reality. Thanks a lot for your effort.
